DDF Posting Technical Issues

Can anyone help me figure out why when I copy/paste by control+C/control+V or by right clicking it inserts [size] and makes my posts miniscule?  @etech0 discovered the multitude  inserts, but I don't seem to be able to see those either.

Check out my last post on the Wordle thread for an example.


Also (in case this adds any clues) it inserts an extra line.  When I skip one line, it puts in two.[/size]


ETA:  Notice the extra line before 'Also' and the added '' at the end of the line above.

I don't believe anyone else is having issues with this now.
I have only found this with copying and pasting the Wordle scores/images.

Try control shift v to paste as plain text

Does it only happen when you paste your wordle score or even if you C/P something from somewhere else?

I also have those issues when I copy/paste.  I right click rather than use the cntrl function and it still happens.
I too get extra lines inserted when I may not want them.

Backspacing also makes everything start the [size   ] problem.

So I always 'preview' my posts and highlight and change to 10pt 'font size' if necessary.

No. It just reinserts them when I post.

In all these years I have never had these issues until now.     Sorry to hear that you, too, are having these problems.... but misery likes company.    I am glad someone here understands the frustration of just giving up posting because nothing seems to work. I will try changing the font...


Techies, it is not just me now.  Why is this happening all of a sudden?? (Notice the two skipped lines it inserted above instead of one!)

I am getting a bit closer to a workaround @ckmk47.  I don't know exactly what I did, but I did it twice so far.  I think it sort of went like this:

Before I posted (which turns out miniscule because of the unwanted [size] inserts), I copied just the picture of the Wordle scores, posted, selected 'Modify message' icon on right side [Did you even know that was there?!], typed the word parts, then pasted just the picture.  It comes out with random colorless boxes when posted, but the words come out the right size.  Then I went back into "Modify" above and pasted the picture. 

So Techies, any idea of what is going on? [/size]
