Very strange

Strange!
Did you have the tab opened for a while? I wonder if you are using a cached version from before NYT decided to diverge from the original list.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

I don't know that it's possible. I managed this:

Wordle 249 6/6

⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜
⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜
⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜
⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜
🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
Is the correct word made only out of two letters then?

Last I checked there were 26 letters in the alphabet.

@Yehuda57 you're showing 24 incorrect letters, leaving only 2 correct letters.

I'm getting "trove" for #249.

What are we missing?

ETA: Stupid me. I just realized, obviously you had doubles...

FWIW, in case I'm not the only one who was wondering, there is at least one valid 2 letter word.

Are we allowed to complain about it being a British word now?

picked a good starting word tonight

Wordle 250 2/6*

🟩🟩🟨⬜🟨
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

Was it BLEAK?  If so, why would you even consider using a B in a starting word?  It is so low on the usage list.  Ok, it worked this time...

He's used xylyl as a starting word.  (See upthread.)

Meh, I've used it many times in starting words and never had any issues.

Besides, I want a bit of a challenge. I'm not looking for the easiest path.

(When I start with "xylyl" there's no question, but I use a "B" and suddenly there's questions??)

'Xylyl' is a nobrainer trying to lose.  A 'b' word is just a silly choice IMHO, nisht dhere, nisht dher. (yet obviously not in #250).

Um, I've won pretty much every game I've started with xylyl.

By fours or it took six guesses?  Then again, being able to not X out is also a challenge I suppose.

ZEBRA has the #1 E in it plus the R, SQUIB has the two vowels plus a good S.  XYLYL simply beats them all with double letters plus the x.
Me thinks we both are spending tooo much time at this rewarding game.
