I'm currently in Israel and my Brother in law sent me this text:
"Can you bring me a veal shawarma in a laffa from halo taman when you come for the wedding"
Thanks!

You don't have to bring me. I traveled on my own. But why wasn't I invited to the wedding?

Just declare a "leftover sandwich" and they'll wave you through.

Cooked turkey is generally not a problem.

I can't imagine how a shawarma sandwich is worth anything a minimum of 13 hours.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Someone recently went to Miro's by the mir and asked for a falafel  to bring back to America they gave him the mix for the falafel ( not fried) along with chummus techina and a laafa!
In other news my supper Thursday night made me really want to go back to Israel soon

Interesting.  I have brought several times, declared it and was allowed to bring in. I made sure label had English wording.

was Hod Golan or something. The one with Rubin.
They also took away a package of Romanian Beef sticks. They said although there was a Chicago address, it didn't explicitly say made in the USA and it didn't have a USDA logo

We bought several times in Kfar Chabad the locally made turkey cold cuts. They print for me an English label that says fully cooked smoked turkey. Was always allowed to bring it in.
