United Online Checkin on Basic Economy

United blocks online checkin if you're on a basic ticket, unless you are elite or a cardholder and paid for the ticket with the card.

A reader just told me that he used his card to book basic for his son and was able to checkin online with no checked bags.

Anyone else have any DPs of online checkin working or not working on basic tickets?

2 weeks ago I had a few separate BE tickets on the same flight without a United CC. Some were able to check online with no obvious reason.

I actually just was able to check in on a basic flight for tomorrow on the app.  I am a united card holder but the ticket was not purchased on that card.

I was able to checkin in the app several weeks ago. No baggage and no status or CC.

I have checked in with checked bags and an infant multiple times without any issues.

Because officially they don’t allow online check in so they can confirm you’re not taking a full-size carry on. That’s not their concern when you have checked bags.

I have a AirCanada/United flight from YUL -> NYC 90 minutes after Shabbos is over. I'm traveling with a 10-year-old. Is there any way to geta boarding pass more than 24 hours before my flight, so I can get my boarding pass before shabbos?

If I can't get a boarding pass, do I have to be at the airport 60 minutes before the flight?

Don't know if still is the case but used to
United never let you check in basic economy online without bags as they want to see your carry on
