I'm looking into purchasing certs for a 4 day rental in Canada. How does insurance work when you use these?

No guarantee that you can use these for minivan, correct? Trying to help sibling with rental car but he won't want to "deal" with this issue if it's not automatic...

I hand them in at the end of the rental assuming there's no damage.
