Suave shares that The Ukraine Rescue Mission is funding and doing incredible life saving work and 100% of donations there are being used to evacuate people from Ukraine and provide essential assistance to refugees.

"Mr. Harry Adjmi and the amazing members of the Sephardic Community spearheaded this fund and aside from the huge financial support and various resources they are providing, I have been in touch with Harry and his team from the beginning of this nightmare and they continuously make it possible for me to provide the needs of so many individuals and families and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. They have done literally life saving incredible work. If you can, please make a donation to them here."

When they are asking average families to give hundreds of dollars I think it's normal to find out if it's going to the right places and if it's pikuach nefesh or helping needy.
Someone who honestly wants to know where Agudah is sending the money would ask Agudah, not DDF.

The charidy page gives an email and phone for their Ukraine Crisis Fund: Smarkowitz@agudah.org  929.529.0200

Just to add to what yuneeq is saying, when someone is rescued from Ukraine, they are usually leaving with the clothes on their back. Literally. It's hard for us to fathom what being a "refugee" means, but this is what's happening.

One Shliach had to leave so fast, he didn't have time to get his tallis and tefillin.

Now is not the time to start parsing what is or is not pikuach nefesh. All we can do is pray and give. Let's do that and worry about the questions later. In a year, I'd love to learn a pilpul on when a refugee switches from pikuach nefesh to an ani.

How about if you think Chabad is the best place to give to, give there. If you think Agudah, give there, etc. No need to create division and machlokes based on hearsay at best. If Agudah comes out with a statement that Chabad ain't worth anything, or vice versa, then come back and post.

Today the Yated (Rav Shach's newspaper) ran an ad for Collel Chabad's fundraiser for Ukraine. How's that for achdus!
Maybe Mashiach really is coming...

If you think There was ever a situation that the agudah wouldn't collaborate with chabad to save lives and vice versa, you are the problem.

Many posts on this thread are getting tons of likes. I don't really have anything to add, but I'm putting out a post just in case it catches some likes.

I'm happy you have never been subject to public guilting and demands by religious leaders to give big sums of money to opaque causes at best. Some are not so lucky and are therfore less trusting.
The chiddush of DDF is the way Dan Deals with all us crazies 🤪

Some people need to get out of their box.
There are a ton of chabad people involved in rescuing and helping refugees and there are a ton of non-chabad people involved in the same.

Give to every credible campaign. So far, the vast majority of funds that you can see the total online were raised by non-chabad campaigns like Yad Yisroel, Aguda, and others. I counted yesterday close to 30 million dollars on various pages that show the amount raised. A lot more is being raised by campaigns such as Satmar which aren't updating live, but are raising vast sums.

Give to every credible campaign and give daily. Stop the sinas chinam.

+1 Give and give. If you don't like an organization, give elsewhere. But don't discourage others from giving based on your assumptions, questions and innuendo.

i agree with you regarding the saving the lives bit but if you think that the Hebrew Yated would publish any ad that is obviously from Chabad 10 years ago then you don't understand the opposition to Chabad of some sectors of Klal Yisroel.

At an appeal this Shabbos at my Chabad shul, the brother in law of a Ukrainian shliach recounted some of his story.  The shliach tried to get someone to take his family out, so he could stay with his community.  But he couldn't get anyone, for any money, so he left Ukraine too.
Buses to evacuate are costing $18,000 each and up.
People left behind are running out of living supplies.

He gave us this link after Shabbos:  http://www.jewsofukraine.com/global-jewish-assistance-and-relief-network

This is a campaign I mentioned earlier that I can vouch for personally - fundraiser run by the Syrian community and involved in many areas on the ground.

Someone I know and trust and is intimately involved in Ukraine rescue operations confirmed this.
Not running their own operations. They are funding some very expensive and dangerous operations by other organizations.

Everyone can help even without contributing - very important meeting that will take place at 1pm EST TODAY. The outcome of the meeting can determine the fate of the Jews in Ukraine both positively or vice versa CH”V. Please say some tehillim, and forward this around.
