This isn't Miami or Boca. Other than a strip of shopping on a major road that has big box stores there is a whole lot of nothing, swamp, farms, mom & pop stores and restaurants that specialize in bbq and gator and catfish and fried frogs legs.
Beyond the religious isolation, I'm not sure the community planners are fully aware of the economic ramifications. Other than remote work and the community's own infrastructure, income will not be easy to find.
An hour from west palm and 2 hours from Miami commuting to Manhattan can be worse
It's not 2 hours from Miami on any day of the week.
Either way I doubt any1 moving there now would work in Miami and Ithere are plenary of company’s all over Florida Miami is just a spek
With all due respect, I think you're grossly underestimating the challenge of finding work when you live in the boondocks.
don’t think chassidim have that problem they can just have a few rich chassidim open a Branch and make jobs
And that's the kind of thinking that leads me to
part of initiation is what work you do if have a job or if you need one I don’t think they are going to take people initially if they won’t have a job
The issue is any property this size 20 minutes to any large city would cost at least triple the price, if you can even find such a large property.
Which is why the hope of finding land of this size (plus room to grow) at this price 20 minutes drive from a major city is a pipe dream. Location. location. location.
You don't need 20 minutes, 40 minutes commute is also a normal option but not what is mentioned above. Was Tampa a better location? Closer to a city hub?
