Get this, effective 2/11, many (or is it every?) CVS’s pharmacy counter is closed for 30 minutes in middle of the day, to offer the employees a lunch break.
I stopped by CVS the other day and got on line for the pharmacy at 1:25pm, waited 5 minutes, and then they just told everyone waiting to come back after 2pm because they’re closing for lunch. They pointed to this sign:
Then they closed the counter:
I’m all for people having lunch breaks, but something about this felt so in-American. I felt like I was back in Italy where midday siesta is a thing.
