Info and settings button works as a pause button as well. I guess let’s find out who else uses it.

Lol I'm telling you it's possible to do without pausing. I'd rather up my game than accuse others of cheating

I have a NYT game subscription (free through amex platinum) and I do the archives (minis and regular). One day I'll beat skyguy918 more than once in a while.

Who’s trying to fool anyone? Pausing is included within the game mechanics, just as much as the timer is, and it’s available to everyone. Your screen does get blocked as well. So if people are pausing then everyone is on equal playing field and it’s still fun. Also your score will still vary every day.

I personally find it more fun when I am not rushing.

Generally, I start off trying to go as fast as I can. If I get stuck on a word, then I slow down and enjoy the game.

We can make two leaderboards, one with pausing and one without. Now that we’re full it’s the only way we could have additional people join anyway.

Doesn't bother me if others pause. I just wouldn't feel like I beat my time if I got a good score because of pausing.

First time? I tried yesterday's again and got it in 13 seconds. That's with knowing all the answers.

I do the mini (48 sec today) (and Sudoku) every day but not on the leaderboard because the password for that is on my laptop, which I'm afraid to use.
