They are keeping tourist places safely guarded, they cant risk anything happening. Yet if there is a rocket attack nothing can protect that.
Chinese said the same before their bus got blown up in taba

I have done it and would do it again by car. Its beautiful there
Just because you did it and came back doesn't prove it's safe. Right now the Sinai Peninsula is allegedly really dangerous so why would you do it now?

They haven't been able to keep their own army bases secure in the Sinai, and I'd imagine they try protecting those.
Don't put too much faith in the Egyptian military...

So, anyone booked yet?
Think there will be kosher restaurants popping up as they have in the UAE and Morocco?

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I was there at the Sheraton in 2013. Nice property for cheap. Red sea scuba diving was amazing.

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

General point, don't tell Israeli boarder patrol that you are going to Egypt for Scuba as you heard it's better than Eilat.
