Plastic covers for Chosson Shas?

Any ideas for plastic covers for a chosson shas or any way to treat the leather to keep it from disintegrating?  The whole set can't be used since the leather is falling to pieces and gets all over anything you put the gemara on or near.  There is also a shaila of shaimos with every little speck of leather.  The set is less than 20 years old.  Any advice and/or ideas are appreciated.  Thanks!

I don't think Artscroll uses real leather...  ;)

I’ve seen CoLibri covers IRL and they look and function great, but it seems to be more geared towards libraries and the like. I wonder if there are services that will CoLibri your books for you for a fee.

It's not an Artscroll set and it's probably "leather look" vinyl.
