He's snowballing down. Imagine losing more than $50b in a week.
Imagine losing $50b in a week and still being the richest in the world...

How much did the second richest lose?

That doesn't negate the fact that he lost $50b and didn't bat an eyelash.

Let's imagine this is some major news outlet:
Sources close to Elon say he did not so much as "bat [an] eyelash."

Elon Musk tells Twitter staff at first all-hands meeting he wants ONE BILLION active users, will tolerate 'pretty outrageous tweets' and 'excellent staff' can work from home ahead of his $44 billion takeover.

When does Twitter officially go into his control?

Shareholders still must vote on the deal.

When's the vote for shareholders?

When's the vote for shareholders?
The board just offered their recommendation to shareholders today.
Possibly in early August, but anything can change.

Lol. Hedging his bets there... as everyone saw with Tesla, he will force people into the office if he can get away with it. Only the soft job market is holding him (and others) back. By having a vague and subjective criteria it's impossible to get caught in a lie.

Btw, no one should expect this WAH environment to last for long. Yahoo proved that to us 10 years ago

Is he still claiming the bot proportions are much higher than Twitter represented? Why is the stock still below $40?

Deal can still derail. Stockholder vote, regulators, etc. Until the money's on the table it's a risk. In the stock thread I mentioned this when the deal first broke, and made some money on $40 puts in the end.

A new potential derailer. Musk claims tesla factories are losing billions, to try and cause share price to tank temporarily. Could result in the financing falling through because the collateral dropped in values, allowimg him to back out with no penalty

Financing falling through would allow him to back out without risking being sued for breach of contract, but he'd still have to pay the $1b fee, no?

What makes him so sure stock will recover, with erratic behavior like this from him?
