Isn't "Americans for Peace Now" an anti-Israeli group?

Musk’s decision to rename to X turned played out brilliantly in a way he didn’t necessarily intend for it to. Every time a tweet was quoted, instead of saying Twitter it had to say “X formerly Twitter” which only worked to further enmesh X/Twitter into society’s minds.

Huh? If all of those tweet/quotes would just say Twitter, how would that make it any less enmeshed?

I’m suggesting that conditioning people’s brains to have to tangent to formerly-Twitter every time you mention X subconsciously supports “stickiness”

This is all conjecture on both of our parts, but I would think at best it combats the non-stickiness of switching the name. I can't imagine it would somehow make it more sticky than leaving it as twitter.

The guy is a true genius. At first, I thought "X" is a dumb name. But now we see how he literally took over a letter in the Alphabet, and he now owns that letter (in terms of marketing). That is unbelievable. Don't you think that every other tycoon wishes that a letter of the alphabet was synonymous with their company?

That would be inaccurate, he bought Twitter, now renamed X

Again, this is all pretty subjective. My answer to your question would be no. What they want is increasing value of their assets/companies, and thus far it seems like he's accomplished the opposite so far. Maybe in the long run he'll turn out to be right, but I don't see how you could be sure of that today just because he 'owns' a letter of the alphabet.

Rebranding always hurts in the short term. As long as X continues to get improve as a platform, I think the shorter name will be better in the long run. Single/double letter domains are extremely valuable for a reason.

Cuban is spot on. Twitter's algorithms are awful. I used to get ads for the same gummies and all kinds of stuff I have never expressed any interest in whatsoever, while on IG, which I barely used ever, I'd get stuff that made me think they were listening to my conversations.
