On 12/31/2021 I realized that my November order isn't shipping on time to take advantage of the sem-annual Dell credit on the AMEX BP, so I went ahead and purchased some XBOX gift cards.
Alas, something seems to have gone wrong on Dell's side, and the charge didn't (fully) come through, though I did receive the XBOX GC codes.
Now Dell keeps on asking for me to make a payment, and I keep on telling them it's their issue, the payment was authorized by AMEX, and I have no idea what issues they might have had with billing AMEX, but I am not making another payment for something that I would have had for $0 out of pocket.
Any other DPs of this type (and how to deal)?
Most recent e-mail from Dell (notice the hours of this individual):
Dear Customer,
We see that you have made the purchase with Dell for Microsoft XBOX
Using your AMEX Card ending with 1032 the auth was for 200.00 & the payment failed
Amex card ending with 1059 the auth was for 114.56 but the payment received only for 64.56
Please check with the bank and revert
