If you don't qualify for medicaid, there may be subsidies available for marketplace insurance. You can try to get a quote from https://www.nj.gov/getcoverednj/.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

if im making above the limit now for my family size, but have not been kicked off due to covid, then my wife gets pregnant and i report the pregnancy and then they start kicking people off.....even though i am still above the limit (and above the pregnancy limit as well) would they kick my wife off? or they would not dare kick off a pregnant woman? - obviously i would get kicked off the q is about her

thanks
can't imagine they give special treatment for pregnant women. Bsha tova!

I can't answer about the specific about covid, but in general, if you report the pregnancy before you report the income change, they will not kick off for the entire duration of the pregnancy, even if the income goes up tons.

Until recently, the pregnant woman got to stay on for 60 days after the child was born. They changed it (or are changing it) so that the woman can stay on for a full year after birth.

seems like they are still not kicking anyone off. I have been sending in for two years now over limit income and have still been renewed.  most recently two months ago. (but that might be due to my wife being pregnant) I was still waaay over limit and I wasnt kicked off.  very weird, but I'm ok with it as I have been submitting accurate information.

thanks

they did not kick us off in this case

For some unexplainable reason one of my children’s HMO did not activate for September, we had switched HMOs for the whole family but just one child’s didn’t activate. She was seen by 2 doctors and now I’m stuck with the bill. NJFC says too bad. Anyone ever experience such a thing?

She’s still on her old HMO or they left her without coverage?

That’s unjust. I had once that they terminated DW in error without notice and after some prodding they did reinstate retroactive coverage.
I’d email the LRRC to see if they can help questions@lrrcenter.org
