Having a diff issue. They missed the part on the application (renewal) where I checked off pregnant, got terminated immediately. In mean time no coverage at any doctor visits. I was told 2 months ago it will expedited and would hear from someone in 3-5 days....keep on calling back but no luck....
Call Bob Singer's office in in Lakewood

what is the process if one just realised after tax filing that they exceeded the limit with Jerseycare a few months ago? need to send a letter to the county etc? will it take them a few months to respond and will be covered during this time?
Send them the updated income and they will send you a letter letting you know when you will be terminated... You will be covered until the termination date which is never retroactive unless you knowingly cheated...

I would just go down to Toms River... They can really help you and get you on right away if they want... In the meantime why don't u sign up through the market place get some health insurance you can get some tax credits and maybe cost share reduction & keep the plan through the pregnancy so you'll hit the deductibles with jerseycare paying it out I guess this all depends on when you have the baby if you need those deductibles or  it'll be the end of the year... (You may also legaly need to cancel the marketplace plan if you get on to jc..)

The simple answer is yes you should but The first thing to do is speak to ny medcaid if and what theyre willing to cover in jersey (ymmv) then you have to find a doctor thats willing to work with you, take it and properly bill it, with authorization number..., if they mess up the billing it can be a huge hassle

Can you add another family member onto an application while it's being processed? Or, if you submit a new application, will it cause a delay for the whole family?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

I believe Jersey care goes by Magi - an adjustment to agi. - which is a question for accountants.
Not sure about food stamps.

Thanks. I guess we'll wait for other people to input. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this use case.

I applied for my wife and myself on one application. Wife was pregnant at the time. She got on a few weeks later. They sent a letter stating that she'll only be covered for 60 days after birth. The baby got his own plan. Now it's past 60 days but we still need jersey care (for ourselves, baby is covered) do we need to reapply now? Or is our original application still in the system?

Correct. If the original application was approved because of pregnancy, you need to reapply to be approved as low income.
