Usually pretty much the same as AGI. I e. Your income after all deductions. Also, doesn't include things that don't count as income, for example, parsonage. Maybe it was line 27.
I received a state of New Jersey health benefits identification card for a child, it's besides the regular HMO card anyone know what it's for?
Your medicaid card?
I guess that's what it must be, by what's it for?
U prob won't need it, but medicaid actually does cover u in facilities that take it without an HMO. (Chemed for example)
I thought that's only when your HMO isn't active yet...?
If your employer puts some money into a 401k for you, does Jersey Care consider that as additional income for you or do they just look at wages?
It's not taxable so no
That's correct, however the same way a tax return legally works (and someone upthread mentioned that's all he use s) a w2 should also, on the jersey care application one of the options for proof of income is a w2, all I was saying was the lrrc was insisting that, that won't work and i need paystubs specifically.
Eta: didn't work they're asking for more proof of incomeDW just went back to work from maternity leave and doesn't have 4 weeks of current paystubs (with adjusted hours) is there something else I can give them?Would a signed letter work like they do for self employed?
Does anyone here have experience with the rule of having no insurance for 3 months? If so, can you please PM me?
While waiting for application to be approved, what do you do if your kids need doctor? Once you get approved, I'm assuming it goes retroactively, but does the HMO get put in place retro as well?
IME we got a medicaid card that worked retroactively, and the HMO only worked going forward. But interested to hear if others have had different.
