Those exact products were tested and had salmonella, so it is very logical.

I was just wondering how he knew with such certainty. Pesach people are making all kinds of things with raw eggs from mayonnaise to ice cream to flopped cakes - A bit more info is good to know especially if I'm debating on whether to throw out all my goodies.. if he would say it was a shtix I'd be very weary keeping those around..

The article I posted above stated that 10% of tested samples from the factory has traces of salmonella. You should assume it’s from anything on the recall list.

For the record, I know people who have gotten salmonella poisoning from ice cream made with raw eggs.

Yup, they're even KFP, perfect for mousse/meringue/ice cream/etc.
No brainer to pay an extra buck or 2 for the peace of mind.

If it's 10 percent - I'll pass - fortunately, I don't have any closed pkgs of stuff on the recall other than some gum which I purchased more than a year ago and ate from some packs, so that I'm keeping, a half eaten bar of chocolate apparently it's tested and not a problem... Hearing an actual story is always a better warning as per 1st רש"י in this past weeks פרשה (for those in חו"ל)

At first I was thinking to avoid the products due to the risk and not eating them all that much anyway, but then I saw Pesek Zman was on the list and was like "nuh uh, give me a break!"
