Update deal got better
. turned out buying the phone activated the 25 off 50 Amex offer 3 times for a $75 discount on the phone. I'm using a second card offer now for the 4 months service ($105) so I should get $50 off that as well ffor a total savings of $525 off any s22 series using 2 Google fi Amex offers

I got this deal a few weeks ago. Was wondering if anyone tried using another carrier on the device (and kept the Google line active on another device). Would that clawback the discount?

I used a different sim, i did pop in the fi sim every few days and made a call just to show activity.

I didn't put the fi sim in another device.

Discount went through with no issues.
