Booked United economy from my Amex platinum biz 27,720 - 35% = 18,018
Realized my wife’s passport is expired chatted (so it’s documented) with TSA and was told that national up to year past expiration is fine, and indeed had no problems at checking in. Since I was flying economy out of EWR terminal 1 that meant my platinum c1 venture we’re useless in terms of lounge acces.
I Stayed at st regis @ a cool 80K bonnvoy points per night. After chatting as a gold member prior to arrival, I was upgraded to grand luxe room and was promised todo it being my anniversary
a amenity will wait in my room which I was told at arrival it will be a red kosher wine.
At check in the Chinese couple next to me was also greeted with a happy anniversary so I guess it’s not just a Jewish hack.
