« on: May 22, 2022, 04:12:53 PM »
I want to record a one time audio & have a dial in number for a group of people to be able to call in & listen to the message.
Can anyone recommend such a service?

I used FreeConferenceCall.com and was very happy.

But do the offer pre-recorded voice as well? or just real time conferencing?

You can upload an audio file.
In order to upload a file, you have to click on "Broadcaster" and then "Upload File". Once the file is uploaded, click the three dots near it to see the "Reference Number". Then look up the "Playback Number" on your account dashboard and your pin, and share those with your audience.

When they call in, after they enter the pin, they will be asked for the reference number, which they will enter to hear the specific recording. If you only upload one recording, you don't need the reference number, as pushing pound will play the last file uploaded.

I don't see the button "Broadcaster" on the website

Click "online meetings" and it's the first option.

A Toll number is just as opposed to Toll-free number. It costs money for someone to call (but most callers have unlimited lines so they are not charged per call.)
Why cant I call in from a landline?
Some landline providers might block those freeconferencecall.com (and similar) numbers since they are expensive to call (per minute for the carrier) especially since those calls are usually long.

Other times it's just a bit harder to get through to it and calling a few times it will go through.
I want to record a one time audio & have a dial in number for a group of people to be able to call in & listen to the message.

http://www.simplevoicecenter.com/ might also be an option.
