Extending the life of Trueblue points

Due to inactivity since January 2011, my points are set to expire on January 24 2012. So I transferred in 200 points from Amex MR thinking that it would extend the life of my points, but according to the CSR, only a flight or spending on the jetblue amex can extend it . I'm set to fly with Jet Blue on February 1 but the CSR says that its past the expiration date (by 8 days), so no dice. Besides for taking a flight, any advice?

the classic form of mileage run wouldn't really apply for programs like JB where the points are proportionate to $ spent rather than miles flown so you never get a higher $/point ratio. here is the exception where a short trip to keep stuff current actually might be worthwhile

EDIT: According to FT, it absolutely does not extend the expiry date.

From personal experience this month, it will not work to extend the expiry date.

Got the same email. Doesn't seem to indicate it's only for new points, I'm going to assume it's including your prior points as well.

Well i just checked my Jetblue account, and the expiration date is gone, so i'd say it applies to past points too.
