does she clean up after herself?
If you can time your cleaning person, better to pay a lot less to scrub the pots than pay her hourly rate.

I have a housekeeper.

But one time she came when housekeeper wasn't home and she left all the stuff neatly piled by the sink and dishwasher.

That comes out to be about 30-35k a year for the chef alone. That seems expensive considering they are making dinners and Shabbos/YT only. I was budgeting 10-12k with more meals, so I may be off in market. I’ll ask around and report back.

Back of the napkin math tells me you’re offering $20-33/meal for four people, that sounds very low if you’re expecting a high-quality service, even if that doesn’t include paying for ingredients.

I only quoted with this one person and so far been very happy. This is not cheap just FYI. For me it's more necessity as my wife owns a company and has 0 time for cooking.

It's possible maybe someone would do cheaper if they would do it in their own home and just deliver

For the economics of this to make sense for the OP, it either has to be a chef who’s cooking for others and you’re partaking of what they’re already cooking, or someone who only has a few free hours and is thus a good fit for the OP.

Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

agreed, but then you would be at the whim of what others want for their food. for me it defeats the whole purpose.

Maybe there will be a price mistake on personal chefs and than you could get a personal chef at a good deal.
