I feel like I would go for the htc even if the specs were slightly behind the Nexus (which is not the case, but for argument sake), due to Sense 4. I mean, the whole reason why I didn't upgrade until now was because there was no htc around...

This is how it played out in 2010, announcement in April and released for sale in June. Also Phonearena and Phonedog believe so.

lol, I ditched sense for ICS but I would like to get back to it. I think a major factor for me is the amazing work they did on the camera. I also can't stand the power button placement on the Samsung phones, although some say its better.

Wait a minute.. ICS can't work TOGETHER with Sense? Just like Sense on my Evo works with GB?

Sense 4 is written to work with ICS. I was saying that being as Sense 4 wasn't around yet, I had to give up sense to use an ICS ROM.

I would never buy any phone (or laptop, etc) with a non-removable battery. What a joke.

I'm not so sure that it will be... The leaked photo seems to not have a unibody case which would mean replaceable battery. Also the rumor of a micro SD slot and kickstand would imply a non unibody case... And then there is the rumor of the extremely large battery (~2500mah) which would probably negate the need for extra batteries.

I agree, but when Sprint dosent give me much of a choice regarding phone selection then I'm kinda stuck :-/ I might just have to pick up the Zagg Sparq or something.

Evo is like saying iphone. You refer to it the same way.
There are different models but that's basically the idea.

It's more like the "Droid" series on VZW. Sprint has a lot of customers who love the Evo series so they went the usual way of US carriers and strayed from the actual name of the phone, but I don't so much mind in this case because of all the exclusive awesomeness they added.

Bigger battery, dedicated camera button, kickstand, and microSD card slot all without making it any thicker and only adding a tenth of an ounce!

Or maybe I shouldn't root if I'm not a techie, at least not until there are no more updates. I imagine that for you changing ROMs is as simple as changing your shirt..
