Skype has shut down the SkypeToGo service effective Today, does anyone have any alternatives?

This is useful for direct calling of long distance calls from landlines or mobiles with subscriptions using local numbers.

Some alternatives  I looked at

• Rebtel, blocking many numbers
• KeepCalling Expensive

How about Localphone.com or Telehop.com

I guess that's why they ended, it was unprofitable.

You can get unlimited incoming US DIDs for under $2 a month though.

If we use it as a DISA we need outgoing too

You can find SIP providers at .004 a minute outgoing to US numbers, with 6 second incemental billing. Lower then that is possible if you have large volume.

That's still going to end up way more than skype

Ended up doing incoming via twilio and outgoing through GV
