I've done hashgocha in a plant that runs a ou line and a triangle k line, the ou line is used only for the specific kosher product and a mashgiach visits monthly whereas the triangle k line is used for other product as well and when (out of sheer curiosity) I asked when they last sent a mashgiach, the answer from the qa guy was "not in the last 8 yrs I've been working here"

I once bought apple juice with triangle k thinking what could be wrong with apple juice and my LOR told me to throw it out, not even let my toddler drink it!

I dono who your LOR is but pure juice doesnt even have to have a hechsher.

This same LOR who runs the largest kashrus organazation in NJ, once told me that if I already bought pistachios w/o a hechsher I can eat them, (but I shouldn't buy them in the first place w/o a hechsher) so it's not like he doesn't know that somethings don't need a hechsher. Yet he told me to get rid of Mott's AJ with triangle k.

I never knew that if something doesnt need a hechsher and it has one that you dont relly on you cant drink it?

sorry dude but any posek in the world will tell you that pure juice doesnt need a hechsher. He doesnt know what hes talking about if he told you that cuz its not even a chumra.

I called him. He told me what to do and I didn't ask him why, he's a very busy man, like I said he runs a very lafge organazation.

Mein Tayere jewda, this Rabbi really knows his stuff, I'm not saying no poskim say like you, it can even be rov poskim say like you, i'm just telling you what this posek which over 10,000 families rely on for eating prepared foods (including meat products) told me. Maybe there's a reason why he feels AJ needs a hechsher, maybe?
