I find it amusing how much the Lakewood RY seem to have enjoyed the dancing. Maybe time to introduce singing of lecha dodi and keil adon in BMG...

They still don't sing it? That must be torture.

I grew up without any singing in my shul. I would rather not have singing than have singing now.

We should have a thread about singing in shul's.

I grew up going to Aventura chabad 1991-93
Then young Israel from 93-96/97

I miss both singing very much

Later I lained at a Sephardic shul in 02/03 and also loved that much.

Obviously I've attended many shuls all over the globe but these influenced me..

Regular chabad davening just really doesn't cut it. I davened at kerestier for shacharis in week from age 9-12 etc

I miss the simple things.. singing "vayehi binsoy ha'aron.."
Which was both at Aventura chabad and yi.. although yi first av harachamim..

Mizmor l'david when torah returned and eitz chaim

I do miss anim zemiros and yigdal elokin chai.. I still sing tzur mishelo achalnu..

And occasionally I mindlessly add naar hayasi after benching

But I really miss the singing in shul like "bay ana rachitz"

"Tzur yisrael ..."

We are excited to announce that we will once again be hosting an Adirei HaTorah Ma’amad in the Wells Fargo Arena. The event will take place on Sunday, June 4th, two weeks after Shavuot.

We can not thank you enough for all you have done for Adirei HaTorah!!



We hope that all will join us in celebrating this important occasion, especially during these uncertain times when it is more important than ever to unite in support of the foundations that underpin our world.



This is an opportunity for us to come together and honor the Kollel, who, day in & day out, dedicate their lives to learning and spreading Torah.

I haven’t seen decreased demand from my limited anecdotal interactions, I’ve heard from plenty of people who missed the last one that they feel bad and would love to attend this year.

I've heard there are a number of 'yungerlight' who are uninterested this year as they realize it's just another fundraiser
