I dont know which speech you are referring to. There is also a wealth disparity that is widening constantly. Look at the fuzzy math thread and others. Are the majority of people 7+ years out of kollel living a comfortable lifestyle?
What's wrong with widening wealth disparity?

Not saying something is wrong with it, however, when a few a getting wealthier and the majority of people are getting poorer / not living comfortably, don't tell me
Hundreds if not thousands of those untrained uneducated yungerleit from back them are earning equal or greater than the top percentiles of highly educated secular college graduates

Out of curiosity, do (did) you feel that constant stimulus money (welfare) is good for the general economic health of society? How do the participants leave the socialism structure? What is the long term plan for the kollel yunderlight?

Are you aware of the fact that Lakewood has become essentially the healthcare capital of America with a thriving jobs economy? Driven almost exclusively by the aforementioned Kollel yungerliet? and there are now a large amount of lucrative entry-level positions in many Lakewood companies?

But honestly, that wasn't my point. It's about where our priorities lie and what we value.

The amount of organization that "redistribute wealth" within Lakewood is breathtaking.

Some do it more pronouncedly. Like Tiferes Devorah lekalah. https://www.tdlonline.org/.

Others do it more subtly. When school budgets get heavily subsidized by the top 10 percent. Or the widely distributed "discounted gift cards" to grocery stores given out before yom tov. Or When a large percentage of LBA participants get their memberships completely comped.

I can go on and on.

This is currently very far from true

Stilll not lucrative enough for a guy coming out of kollel with a few kids. And lets not forget that raises arent all that much in these companies if you aren't a star.

$25-30/hour is very lucrative for a highschool grad's first job. Whether it's enough to pay the bills depends on who's taking the position.

Neighbors daughter got $35 an hour less than 1 year out of seminary. Medical billing. Close to 50k a year for what in Brooklyn would be considered very part time. Lakewood has entry level opportunities that are almost unrivaled elsewhere.

Correct. But if Rav Shraga Feivel who was a giant in his own right understood that he couldn’t make weigh the צדדים on his own and it took Rav Aharon to be מכריע (in fact the opposite of what Rav SFM though was the obvious answer) what does that say about random DDF posters views about what takes priority במחילת כבודם?
The  question is if the reassement is taking place by the relevant leaders. Preserving the status quo doesn't necessarily indicate that a decision is made. Cf. Rashi Beitza 2b:
Quote

I think this is an incorrect usage of cf.
Wikipedia:
Quote
The abbreviation cf. is used in writing to refer the reader to other material to make a comparison with the topic being discussed. Style guides recommend that cf. be used only to suggest a comparison, and the words see or vide be used to point to a source of information
Rashi in Beitza is potentially comparable rather than a source. Hence cf.

Wikipedia:Rashi in Beitza is potentially comparable rather than a source. Hence cf.
I believe it’s intended to be used when the compared item is contrasted with the original interpretation. I think it’s used when the source you’re bringing is different than your assertion, not when it’s similar.

(My main exposure to cf. is Artscroll footnotes).

ETA: I think many people use it wrong, not just here.
