Why dosent the scoop post about it?

He was actually pretty positive on BMG until several years ago when he put up the massive billboards around town. Yungerleit complained about them to the Roshei Yeshiva who put out a letter opposing them. He felt highly insulted and betrayed and since then BMG and the Roshei Yeshiva have been censored.

For example if  one of the RY is a featured speaker at the Agudah convention the other speakers will be highlighted and the BMG RY ignored, and so on. That is why TLS is busy with lanternflies and Chaveirim rescuing a deer and no mention of Adirei Hatorah or Rav Landaus and Rav Bergmans visit to the US or the shiva.

Beautiful event, as last year.

That said, anyone else feel that the speeches are just way overdone? Can we limit speeches to 15 - 20 minutes tops (not including guest speaker from E"Y) and not have so many of them? Can there be a rotation of which R"Y speaks each year so that not all 4 have to speak every year? People's attention spans are not what they used to be. Also, Add in some more slow hartzige singing that all can join.

Let's not forget the billboards were a reward for providing positive coverage for the powers that be (or that were)

I seem to recall that the blue claws with their billboard proudly proclaiming Toeivah month for all to see was also some sort of deal. I don’t think the yungerleit were clued in on either of them.

I noticed that the roshei yeshiva have been publicly speaking in english more often of late. Unheard of a few years back. In yeshiva its still only yiddesh. As this was a BMG event, it was interesting that Reb Malkiel spoke some english.
