Glad I chapped arein while I could. Took a 3 hour flight on an ERJ-175 and was upgraded for free to first. Once you experience the luxury of not needing to gate check your carry on on a regional jet, there's no going back from that

773 and 321T we're awesome when they came out but now, what exactly do you get in first more than in business.
I'm sure all future J will have direct aisle access and probably include flagship dining.

I don't think there will be any change to 2 cabin aircraft.

There will still be two-cabin "first" on planes. AA is only eliminating three-cabin first.

Depending how they implement it, I think it may be a plus. First class takes up more room per seat than business, so if they replace the FC space with business then there will be more premium seats to go around. The difference between business and first has always been pretty minimal to me, compared to the difference between economy or premium economy and lie flat business, so I'd much rather have more business seats.

Just EK F. It was fun to do once, but the thought of going back to J after that wasn't at all bad. The thought of going back to Y on a longhaul though.... terrifying

Of course we're talking AA here where the difference between F and J is so small as to be almost pointless.

F is fun and an experience. J is functional. Y is torture.

Never said the delta between y/j wasn't much greater than j/f, but the j/f delta is certainly not "minimal" on those airlines.
