If they will learn more ona vacation to Florida than in school you may want to look into a new school. If you are referring to the happiness they can get from the sense of family that can be timed to avoid missing school.
I wont take my kids out of school for Florida- well maybe let them miss a day.
But a trip to Japan or South Africa is worth a lot more than 10 days in school if you are doing a mix of exploring and learning about the culture.
But my guess would be many on here wouldnt really value that kind of education anyway

I think that even among those who value it many will not feel that it is worth a lot more than 10 days of gemora

Why says school have to be the only place a child can learn gemora?

Will they learn for the same amount of time? Will it be on the same level? Will it have continuity with what they are learning in school?

I don't know, but it is a possibility, therefore I'm not coming to any assumptions. In addition, you need to level out the benefits of the vacation, with the losses of learning. If you really want to go that route, you can then start questioning the actual quality of the child's learning to begin with.

It is higly unlikely that they will learn for anything close to the amount they do in school. Yes you can start making those calculations as well as whether the child will consider it to be that they were taken out of school for a vacation or for a greater educational value which affects their outlook on school as mentioned before. My point is that it does not need to mean that they do not value that to feel it is the wrong thing to do.

Completely not in the spirit of the forums, I'll agree with that.

Behind means at home, or in the economy cabin?
