What tablet should I get?

Looking for something not too big, in the $800 or less range.
Any recommendations?
Preferably something I can add a data plan to.

A mobile-ready iPad would cost a lot less than $800, will it suit your needs? How will you be using the tablet?

If you’re looking for new the simplest one should do the job, though cellular bumps it up quite a bit when an Android option might be a better price/value.

Any basic tablet should handle these needs like a champ, but you’re paying for nicer screen/audio, better quality hardware, longer battery life, snappier interface, etc.
