just checked, when you go through the process at the end they ask ask you what it's for, if you click on auction/raffle, they only offer you a gift basket now but it was a choice between the basket or the brewer

Thank you . I was able to get one for my shul raffle. They sent the machine with the coffee together in one box.

Are you insinuating that i got it for the shul or me to keep? There really is a raffle this motzai Shabbos with the grand prize $5000! The Keurig is going to be raffled off as a door prize for the people who bought tickets. SM me if you want to buy a ticket for $150

heres what i know but this should prob be in the halacha thread

many rabbanim hold that a kuerig must be toiveled.

dunking a keurig in water WILL break it, this has been tested and proven by many.

many rabbanim hold that a keurig does NOT need to be Toiveled such as R' Moshe Heiniman of baltimore and starK.

R' Moshe Feinstein held that all electronic appliances which need to be plugged into the wall do NOT need to be toiveled as they have the din of "mechubar Le'karka"

That being said, most of the yeshivish black hat circles choose not to rely on this heter from R' Moshe

Yet, R' Eliyashuv told people that when one has electronic devices which would break if toiveled then one can and should rely on R' moshe's Heter in such cases, (obviously only plugged devices).

For those who do not wish to rely on the aforementioned psakim there are two additional work arounds;
1) giving the device to a non jew, it should be made clear that it is a permanent present which you would like to borrow
2)take the electronic device apart (somewhat) and put back together. This is usually NOT a good idea as the chances of breaking it are about equal to dunking it in the mik (high)

Interesting. Someone I know once asked R' Heinemann (a few years ago) about toiveling an electric appliance and was told he has to.
He said:But the manufacturer says not to submerge in water
So R' Heinemann said back: Who are you going to listen to - the manufacturer or Hashem? Lol

But I did just call Star-K who confirmed that they hold you DON'T need to toivel a keurig.
