18 years ago, I thought the same thing. Experience is the best teacher. Being smart is acknowledging that fact, and using other people's experiences to your advantage.
Your 100% right!
My dad and brother do credit cards so I’m not just saying random things .

Your dad and brother do credit cards?

Why don't you just ask them for help?

Or are they already on the forums and you're just trolling?

Imo it all depends on how you were raised with spending. The friend's of mine that grew up with out education on cc (either because their parents didn't involve them in finances at all or because their parents didn't have a cc) were the ones spending without any sort of cheshbon.

It all depends on the Almighty, the rest are contributing factors.

In other words, what you’re saying might be true and a significant factor, but it doesn’t end there.

Basically we all have to be very careful and not spend money for groups that we won’t be able to pay the credit card without relying on the check from the group.

Almost as annoying as the sightly older wiser than thou attitude.

ETA: I was about that age when I joined forums. Looking back at my posts from then, I was pretty cocky and annoying too. In 15 years, I'll probably look back at my current posts and shake my head at the young fool I was that thought he knew everything.

Stupid question, but does just swiping only $10 a month help pretty well?
I can’t guarantee it does, but I believe it helps. In @Dans master post on cc he suggested prepaying the balance besides for a buck or two before the statement closing, don’t see how spending $10 and letting it close at that would be worse, credit building wise.I’m sure there are people more knowledgeable than me that can say for certain if it does in fact help (the problem is they are all busy with the educating/scolding the “youth”😊)

don’t like where this is going, people are going to cast aspersions about a whole community…… (I know, I just did the same about the forum community, assuming someone will be negative, but unfortunately statistics say it will happen)
