On this page https://corona.health.gov.il/en/abroad/arriving-foreign-nationals/ it says that:

Those who will present a positive result on a rapid (antigen) test at an authorized testing site, or a PCR test, taken less than three months prior, provided entering Israel is at least on day 8 after the test (the test date is considered day 1).

Any idea what they mean by "authorized testing site"? My PCR test was taken at an American lab that doesn't qualify for the digital verification. Can I still use it as proof of a positive PCR result?

False.  One member of our family of seven tested positive at the airport upon arrival (after testing negative before departure).  Received some phone calls and emails from the Misrad Habriut, but we ignored them and they stopped after around 2 days.  Had no issue leaving two weeks later.

Two weeks later is never an issue since it's beyond the quarantine requirements.

However I know several people who couldn't leave within 3-4 days, including one who had his passport confiscated for voluntarily breaching quarantine.

Wow, that's horrible.  One would think they'd be happy for someone allegedly with covid to leave the country.
