My friend got to the airport today at 850 just with carry on. Was waiting at the gate at 9:20. All the horror stories and he was bored for 3 hours lol

From what I saw motzai shabbos, LY is a greater concern than any other airline. Mostly because they have multiple flights nightly, as opposed to one

The security isn't per airline. There are 4 sectors. So even if a airline only has one flight, if it's in a busy sectors lines will be huge.
Elal has much more check in desks than everyone else.

Yes, I'm familiar. LY has their own sector. It was mobbed. No other sector was including C, which was AA, and taking a good chunk of the overflow. the J crowd on my flight got from car to lounge in 30-45 minutes on average

On another note, I'm booked to fly in on AA, but flying back TLV-JFK AA isn't available, so I will likely take TK (and don't mind a long layover, as I might use that to visit the city). Which TK departure time is least crowded for the security lines (flying J with no checked luggage)?

I've flown DL once, it was my worst transatlantic J experience. aisle was very narrow and plane was very old and creaky feeling. was a couple of years back, I don't remember the aircraft, was a 1-2-1 config.

Agreed. Back to back seats are terrible. But I've been on AA flights where those weren't part of the configuration. Is there any way to know in advance?
