Listening to this guy's content (if they got right guy) online, he seems to have been suicidal, bullied, friendless, incapable of getting a girlfriend, mocked, and publicly fantasizing dying and shoot ups forever. He has millions of streams on his stuff, and seems to have had a fan club, so not sure why he felt so reviled in real life.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Of course, it's possible that they have totally wrong guy, and he was flagged and taken in purely for his online content that seems to indicate that he's been dreaming of and glorifying such a suicidal rampage shoot up forever.

No. He’s saying that the suspect walked in & sat down. The shliach went over to talk to him & realized that something’s off about him. He didn’t respond. There’s an armed member in the shul so the shliach relied on him in case of trouble. He mentioned it that you have to be aware if a stranger walks in that very obviously doesn’t belong there, to be very careful.
