I found the first 12 digits of a non dd offer code and guessed the Last 4 and got $200 for that
As for avoiding the fees I never activated my card I can add and withdraw money using my other chase debit card at a chase ATM and I never activated it
How does it work when you do that? If you guessed a wrong code do you get an error, or does it go through without the bonus?

@DrDanny
I didn't understand what your activating of the ATM card has to do with the monthly service fee.

Does PP work for the DD requirement or only AP? Or both are YMMV?

Here you go:
As a courtesy policy, Chase doesn't charge the monthly service fee for the first 2 statement cycles. So can you please look up and check your 'third' statement and see whether they charged the fee or not?
I hardly believe it has anything to do with the debit card activation.

People: You don't need a direct deposit. Chase sees an ACH transfer from other accounts as direct deposit. I never got charged the monthly fee doing this. Push from your other bank into Chase. That is your direct deposit. I was told this by the reps (but don't go calling them asking if you'll still get the bonus). I've been doing it like this for months when my balance was below the minimum.
