DId you trigger a signup bonus with Chase via AP? Or was this for something else?

Someone just needs to do an ach push from their other bank into the chase account for the amount required to get the bonus. Wait 10 days, and if the bonus doesn't show then set up a direct deposit. Report back, I bet you'll get the bonus.

A) How do you do an ach push from one bank to another
B) what type of DD? AP/PP or a real one. Some are having an issue getting AP/PP to work

Link the account via the other bank's side online. Provide other bank with ABA/Routing and account number for Chase. Other bank will then initate 2 trial deposits into your Chase account in 2 - 4 business days. Once deposited, verify those amounts. Accounts linked. Then ACH push that money into chase would take 2 -3 business days. Total time should be 7 - 10 days. Leaving you plenty of time to actually get a real direct deposit from an employer in the event it doesn't qualify for as a bonus deposit. At the minimum, you'll qualify to avoid the monthly fee this way.

Meshberg: There is no fee to have money deposited into your chase account. I can't see them refusing to accept deposits for free. That seems silly. You do this on the other bank's side, not Chase's.

Right, I'm not asking about the recipient bank (Chase), do you know a bank who offers free ACH transfers as the 'sender'?

2.5 weeks ago I didn't realize yet meshugener reputation for stating rumors as facts . Based on his repeated statements on this checking bonus thread that AP works  to trigger the bonus I went ahead with it. Opened a checking account and did a PP transfer on 08/08 . It showed up as a DD  (confirmed by my banker) but didn't trigger the bonus. Murphy's Law , yesterday I get not one , but 2 offers in the mail for $200 without a DD requirement !!

I think your confusing wires with ACH. ACH would be no charge unless it is not a checking account of which the federal law limits 6 per month. Non-checking accounts can do more than 6 per month but there is a charge after that.

Discover Bank savings (online) and Amex savings (online) will both allow 6 free pushes per 30 rolling days.

Statusmiles:
I'm not sure if that would work.

Figured out today, although Cap1 business accounts don't have ACH transfers free, but personal accounts have it completely free, with limits.

Just actually signed up for the forum, but have been a long time reader. What Chase Checking account promos are there without direct deposit? Can I just buy a 200 dollar one off Ebay? I am only finding the 125 and 150 if you set up a direct deposit promo. Is there any other other way to set up a direct deposit if my paycheck can't be direct deposited. Dan mentioned Amazon payments once - How would that work?

Apparently, Amazon Payments is recognized as direct deposit only in regards to waive the monthly service fee, but to trigger the bonus, it didn't work on 2 accounts I opened in the past few weeks.

This way was mentioned as "it should" please don't imply that it will.

And which banks would that be?
Also, can anyone else corroborate meshugener's claim that it will work?
