Coupon rules:
  • Customer can only use one checking coupon per calendar year.
  • Customer must not have any checking accounts with Chase for the 90 days prior to account opening.
  • Customer must keep new account open for at least six months.
To avoid monthly fee, customer must perform one of the following qualifying activities: Direct deposits totaling $500 or more,
maintain a $1,500 minimum daily balance, or maintain an average daily balance of $5,000 in linked deposits/investments.
With a free college student account there is no minimum that you need to keep in the account.

Things that count as Direct Deposit
Transfer from Serve (worked for me 4/29/15)
Transfer from Redbird (worked for me 7/14/15)

Heard about this great deal - did it and thought I would share. This is my first post!

Here are the requirements:
1. Deposit $100 within 10 days, direct deposit within 60 days.
2. Direct deposit $500 per month or keep balance of $1500 to avoid monthly fees.
3. keep open 6 months

The credit should appear within 14 days

Are you sure it is reusable?
It does appear that way, because every hit on the link gives me a new coupon number.
But I just want to double-check.

Keeps telling me I am a chase customer, fill out my ID etc. and then it gives me an error
Can I do it on the phone with the code?

I had this once before.
When I called up, they said it was a system glitch which affects some accounts, and I would have to do it in branch.
Which I did.
