Random DP. Officially you have to transfer the $ into the savings account within 10 days of opening. I deposited a check for 15k, but the teller screwed up and deposited it into the checking account. Being that it was such a large check, it took a week to clear, (and I missed the 10 day deadline), but I transferred it anyway to the savings. 90 days passed and I got my bonus. So apparently you don't have to transfer it in within 10 days. But the main point is to have it sit in the account for 90 days...

You got the money into the savings account more than 10 days after opening it, but was it more than 10 business days? What I find more surprising is that you were eligible for the bonus at all. Considering that you transferred the money from your checking account to your savings account, I'm surprised that it was considered "new money" as the terms required.

It was more than 10 business days also. I only deposited it on the 10th day, + it took a week to clear. Yeah i was on my way in to go speak to my banker, but I checked my account before I went in and surprisingly, it was there

Probably the wrong thread, but I'm sure people in this thread know the answer so I'll ask it anyway. When opening a business checking account with chase, what sort of documentation do u need? Do u need to have an actual business?

That depends on the state.

Officially you'll need an EIN and some documentation of your business (for a sole proprietorship) but you may be able to get a banker to open one without it. It's also not that hard to just open a business.

Trying to open a Chase account and there asking for a drivers license or state ID. I don't have either. I remember having an issue with something like this in the past but I don't remember how I solved it.

Try a passport number?
