It works for 2 accounts opened last month.
$100 initial deposit, $500 AP, couple days later get $200 credit.
Did the coupon that you used require dd?

Heads up -- visit your local USPS and ask for a Mover’s guide. Inside the packet, you will find a Chase coupon up to $200

You can churn this once a year (in addition to not having an account in the last 90 days).

Although, would that interfere with freedom exclusives?

Personally i think no, as they give you a grace period (longer than 90 days) after closing the account, to reopen it (i closed my account at the end of september, and got a letter that if i don't reopen by december 30th, ill lose the exclusives, despite it ending for everyone else december 11th). But, bli achrayus...
Also, rumor has it they will be ending the exclusives program anyway (even for those grandfathered in) sometime at the end of 2013...

If they do, I'd probably be closing my Chase account anyway - no reason to tie up $1500 without the exclusives...

Thanks for the post. I just tried YG2427634YHA7NJF but was prompted to use a valid code so I guess it was used already. I then tried the next 2 but I got an error msg both times. I assume they were all used but the users didn't let us know. :(

FYI these cash back sign up bonuses are taxable and some banks give 1099's. Credit card cashabck is still not officaly taxable
It's what is on the outside that matters

Any reason to open 2 accounts for me and my wife, get the double bonus and then merge the accounts?

They might make you keep them separate for 6 months. But other than that, what is there not to work?

Does anyone know whether a BB payment directly to a checking account classifies as a DD to avoid monthly fees same a AP does?

I am confident it does.
I know for sure that with Citi checking accounts, any automatic credit would count as a DD (for extra monthly TY points). I transfer $10 from chase to citi monthly to get those points.
I believe Chase would be the same - any automatic credit.

Confirmed that it does.

Jut got my chase checking statement and no fee due to $500 of DD.
my only DD was a transfer from BB.
