Taxes Payment
« on: July 15, 2022, 09:39:53 AM »
I need to make a substantial payment. Is it worth opening a new card just to make the payment? I was considering the Amex Biz Platinum. Offer was 170k with 15k spend in 3 months With an additional 10k points with an employee card.

Yes of course. That’s a fantastic offer that’s not publicly available. Depending on how large your payment is, there’s an offer for 250K for 30K as well which might be better for you.

is the fee worth it though? I have a personal gold card which i think has a 295 fee. I would do this no brainer if i didnt find out dell cancels these types of orders.

I was in a similar situation and after crunching the numbers I decided it's worth it in order to meet the minimum spend requirement on a large bonus (ended up opening 4 new cards).
Once you've met the spend requirement it's no longer worth it to continue paying via cc.

Ok I'll bite- Because you are paying close to 2% and not getting so many points?

I didn't mean on this card per se.

For a mere mortal like myself who doesn't have a quinfecta of every card type to maximize point earnings and then turn those points into more valuable points, paying 2% to earn 1 or 2 points per dollar isn't a good deal.

Which card is worth it?

I would imagine either this:
a quinfecta of every card type to maximize point earnings and then turn those points into more valuable points

Or use a different SUB

Has anyone heard of any issues with using a ink business unlimited to pay taxes?  I am getting an error that this type of card is not supported.  Anyone know anything about it?
