Israel with Starpoints
« on: June 11, 2008, 08:15:41 PM »
In March, there was a post about flying to Israel on Starpoints

The current sale is only if you're flying by June 30th. Does anyone know which cities will be 'on sale' next?
Also, how do I check availability w/o actually having the points in my account yet?

Thanks!   :)

I think SBS said the new list comes out on the 15th.

You have to call them to check availability.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Does anyone know if it's better dto transfer starwood points to Flying Blue (Klm, Air France, DElta, Continental) which requires only 50,000 miles for a free round trip from NY-Tel Aviv versus transfdering to LAN which gives you a 1:2 transfer rate albeit in kilometers?

It depends what you are trying to use the points/miles for.

Both options will be for 40,00 starpoints. Each 20,000 points will get a transfer bonus of 5,000 points. So you can make it on both for the same amount of starpoints. Flying blue does give you the option of non stops on continental or delta but  they do have very high fees and taxes of more than 250.00 per award ticket.
