ISO: Image Hosting Site to Generate URLs

Apologies if a thread exists already. I'm looking for an image hosting site that can generate direct link URLs (i.e they end with the file type, e.g. JPG, unlike Google Drive or Dropbox links), and also keeps the original file name, so I can generate the links in the same order as my files are arranged.

I currently use imageshack, which does that all perfectly, but you cannot search. With hundreds of albums, you can't find an album you uploaded a month ago and just end up reuploading the same albums.

And "gallery" is another word for album or folder in this context? And you can generate the URLs for a whole album? TBC, I would be pasting the URLs into spreadsheets in batches.

Seems backward to use Wordpress for media hosting without a website.

I'm not seeing direct links, am I doing something wrong? I also don't see a way to get bulk links for a whole album, there is just a link to the album as a whole, not a list of links to each image.

Is that something a normie non dev like me could use relatively easily? (I'm not a complete tech dunce, I know to try restart machines before smacking them upside the head.)

They do not generate direct links (see OP)

I use a google sheets extension that allows me to "drop" a document (I use it for PDFs, but I assume it will allow also for JPGs) into a cell, and a direct link is what's actually posted in the cell, while the file gets stored in a google drive folder.

ETA: extension is called DropSpread it's free. I've seen some paid extensions too.  https://dropspread.io/

• Hit create link

• Go to https://www.labnol.org/embed/google/photos/
• Hit generate
• It will give 2 options "Direct Link" and "HTML Embed"

Maybe an extension that gets you the URLs to all the images in the current collection (album/search result) is what you need? E.g. download them all.

Perhaps the process for which you use a spreadsheet needs to change, because it doesn’t seem to be scaling well.

If imageshack is working up except for searching, I would download all the links from imageshack to a single spreadsheet for future use.

Perhaps, though I'm absolutely clueless as to how it can be done differently. This is for an e-commerce operation with hundreds of skus. Each time we create a product we need to upload it to our inventory management system with an excel spreadsheet. The product images are added with direct urls.

How would you be able to scale that differently? If this is something you or another reader does professionally, pm about consulting

Hmmm, this is a good idea. But now that I'm getting into it, I'm thinking there must be a solution that would be even better than imageshack, similar to what AsherO said about generating links directly from the local folder location without needing the imageshack uploading step
