please explain why hotwire isnt good for buf. ive done it there numerous times w/o a problem. additionaly you can try enterprise with the chabad corporate account
I needed a car for 11/4-11/5 I knew this from before Succos and tried Hot and PL and the best Hot came back with was all in $69 which was the same price straight from any company
I tried dozens of codes with Enterprise,Hertz,Avis,National,Thrifty, and finally found that code on Budget a few days before flying to BUF
Now how much was the savings? did you compare what Hot wanted with what the actual companies wanted, I do that by using Orbitz in order to see whats what. again I was renting midweek for 1 day. PL kept telling me my $18 offer is way too low I should bid $47 which was only a couple of bucks cheaper then the companys reg rate but then you have to add in PLs fees. I tried PL even the day before got the same message yet here I had a res with an all in that was couple $ below what PL was telling me I should bid just for the car w/o their fees and taxes.
this is why a person shouldnt go into anything Blindly and assume Hot or PL will be the cheapest way to go. My rule is Always to do my Homework. Thats why sometimes I can end up renting from 5 different car companies before renting a 2nd time from any 1 of them
whats great I just found Hertz has a location at The Marriott at LAX and its considered a HLE (local edition) = you dont pay the fees and can save alot on weekend rentals. Just jump on the Marriott Shuttle van, and you can drop it off at the Main Hertz for $0. I paid $25.50 for 3 days Thurs-Sun for an Economy . Taxes alone by anyone else was more and Hot had a $50 something rate as their cheapest
I realize alot of people on DD are looking to score a Jag or Caddy or some hot car, I look to get a set of wheels for as little as possible. I dont need to show off to anyone nor will driving a hot car make me a better person, if anything a worse person possibily.
