. As I said previously, the name Chabad should generally not be mentioned in a Kashrus certification. If it is, I would be careful and do extra research. One cannot piggyback on Chabad reputation for marketing purposes.

Just comes to prove that having your name associated with an establishment's kashrus implies ownership/achrayus for the events held in said location...

I legit have no idea what you're saying or trying to infer. Chabad provides the hashgocha on all kosher food at the BM. That's where it begins and ends.

I'm answering your question. You asked if i thought Chabad arranged the movie night and I'm answering that they provided the free popcorn but I don't know about the actual movie (I assume not).

My family wouldn't eat the non-kosher popcorn but maybe there were people there who would and  Chabad did it to save people from eating non-kosher popcorn?

Do they cook all the restaurant food in their home and then bring it to the hotel? Maybe they decided to supervise the hotel making it in the kosher kitchen.

I'm honestly not sure why you're so up in arms about this. 

This will be my last post about this only because I don't want people to think my family ate non-kosher.

My family told me Chabad was giving out kosher popcorn at movie night. Other people I spoke with assumed the restaurants were run by chabad (maybe before they read the menu.)

The argument would be that the Shliach does not own the restaurant, it belongs to the organization.

I will note that every place is different, and while some places have an official restaurant, others are more like a shul making a bake-sale.

On a related note, I once saw a letter from the Riyatz saying along the lines of how he only eats his own food even when staying by very frum innkeepers.

Does the mosad belong to him? What is the halachic status of a non-profit in halacha?
