I'm looking to try out a WiFi calling phone on my existing T-Mobile service. I popped in to a T-Mobile store and they said if I'm not getting new service I'm limited to their prepaid phones which have a no return policy. Does anyone know of an website or b&m store in the NY area that would sell such a phone and have a good return policy?

If you click on no contract phones it sends you to regular Amazon. It seems like that would get me free returns too, but I'd pay return shipping. Does that sound right?

I think by clicking on "no contract phones", you'll be shown a list of prepaid phones. It appears to me that what you want is a phone without any kind of service. If that's right, maybe choose the phone you're interested in and under the service options, choose: "Phone only (no contract changes)".

Costco in-store and online has a 90-day return policy on cell phones. Not sure what their prepaid offerings consist of.

This may vary by location, but I one tried to buy a no-contract phone from Costco and they said they won't sell it without service. And although they have a 90 day return policy, that doesn't apply to cancellation of the service, just the phone itself.

Anyone have experience with returning a phone to cosstco purchased at full price? Thinking of maybe getting a note 3 at costco and then possibly switching it out for an s5 or a note 4 depending on the release date if I can return the note 3 by then.
