Not really. It should be clear to everyone, including China, that Russia made a very big mistake with the Ukraine war and is losing very badly in all aspects, including not expecting full and united Western support for Ukraine. China should expect the same or more.

Then again, we should have never gotten so entangled with China in the first place. It's going to make Europe's gas problems look like child's play compared to the pain it would cost the US now.

I agree with the sentiment but a country who complains about a bill not being passed for an extra month has the will to wait 30 years?

not sure the russian govt see's things the way u do
they dont care for large amounts of dead russian soldiers
and they dont care for the inconveniences it has caused russian citizens abroad
their economy seems to be doing fine, the ruble isnt where it was at the beginning
they are continuing to sell gas to the world, and even deciding who not to sell to
they are slowly taking over large swaths of ukraine
given, there are certain inconveniences to the govt as well, such as hardships in paying foreign debt etc, but overall doesnt seem like they care too much

not saying they arent taking hits, but when trying to judge how a govt like russia or china sees the price of war, im not convinced that they feel it is too big of a price to pay, or even such a large price at all
they dont look at loss of life or world condemnations (or @CountValentine calling them out  ) the way most western countries perceive it
