First he attacks the press.
The same constitution that gives freedom to the press gives him the freedom to say what he wants about them. And there is an argument to be made that his predecessor did more as president in limiting press freedom to certain outlets than he actually did as president, his inflammatory rhetoric notwithstanding.
Then he attacks the DOJ.
He's hardly the first, and hardly the last.
And now he attacks our great country.
In your opinion. Plenty would say he is the last person actually defending it.
We are told to ignore all of them and believe him.
The sad part is there are millions stupid enough to go along with that.
I would argue that beyond the bubbles of Trump support, if anyone is "being told" anything, it is that Trump is attacking the country and guilty of all the worst crimes imaginable. It's no wonder his supporters will be blind to evidence of him doing such things when there were so many hyperbolic claims made for years that didn't pan out.
sad
I do agree the whole thing is sad. Do you really expect his supporters to see the FBI search his home and think, "Oh wow! The guy who got railroaded by the press and his opponents is getting searched? he must have done something wrong!" IF the FBI, Jan 6 commission, and anyone else announced they found nothing criminal and Trump is cleared of any wrongdoing, are you going to accept that or will you think, "the man is guilty as sin, but they just don't have enough to actually charge him or aren't willing to deal with the fallout"?
